Apex Legends. Spitfire Light Machine Gun in the Factory Issue skin
January 18, 2022: More skins have been added for the Spitfire. We have added these to the total skin count.

The M600 Spitfire has had one of the longest lives of any weapon in Apex Legends. It's one of the four light machine guns and one of the two that uses Heavy Ammo. The other one that does this is the Rampage. Out of all of the light machine guns, the Spitfire is arguably the most popular.

Recently, the weapon has been switched to being a Care Package exclusive. This means that you cannot find the gun on your travels unless you head to one of the drops found across the map. However, that hasn't stopped it from keeping its label as one of the most-loved weapons across all of Apex.

On this page, we're going to show you the damage stats, attachments, and skins for the Spitfire. Should you be busting a lung to be the first to the loot drop? This guide will help you to decide.

Review

The Spitfire has a long reload time and it has one of the slowest walking speeds when aiming down the sights – so why consider it? It’s simple, really – the weapon packs so much of a punch, that each shot can do a huge amount of damage. It fires 512 rounds per minute and it only takes 11 body shots to kill a fully armoured enemy, it’s worth grabbing out on the battlefield.

Though it is currently a care package exclusive, the Spitfire is one of the best weapons in Apex Legends. If running up to an enemy and firing at them is not your style, then perhaps a Sniper is? Take a look at our guide on the Sentinel Rifle, it's hard to get used to but it can remove armour in one shot. It's a painful experience when your game loads slowly. If this happens to you, we help you to get faster loading times in Apex Legends.
