Wattson's Fence Is Useless Due to Apex Legend Bug

Players are reporting an Apex Legends bug affecting Wattson's fence on Twitter.

The issue severely nerfs Wattson, removing her most useful ability from Apex Legends.

Unintentional Wattson Nerf

In Apex Legends, Watton's Perimeter Security Fences are supposed to slow down enemies, damaging them and revealing their location as they attempt to break through a squad's defenses.

Some players are reporting that her fences are currently not doing anything, possibly due to shared code removed from Apex Legends' Arc Star that also stunned and slowed enemies.

An unverified source claiming to work for Respawn Entertainment has said they have brought the issue to the development team's attention.

Season 9: Legacy is one of the largest releases of Apex Legends, adding not only a new Legend and Weapon but an entirely new mode, Arenas.

To say Season 9 is off to a rocky start is an understatement, with server issues plaguing players trying to log in.

While the Apex Legends servers have seemed to stabilize, some connection issues still plague some fans.

Then there are the epilepsy concerns regarding the new Bocek Bow ammunition and how it interacts with the game's ammo highlighting.

The Respawn team must have their hands full cleaning up after the launch of Season 9, now having to add a bug that renders a Legend mostly useless to their list of items to fix.

Season 9: Legacy

Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy recently released introducing Valkyrie, the Bocek Bow, and the entirely new Arenas play more to the popular battle royale game.

One of the largest updates to date, it also features map and weapon changes, as well as Legend rebalancing based on testing and player feedback.
