You have always been able to enhance a room with K.K Slider's music in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, in Happy Home Paradise you get the ability to use soundscapes too. These atmospheric sounds will add a unique feel to any home, so we're going to show you how to unlock them, how to use them, and explain a bit more about what they are.

How To Unlock Soundscapes
When you return to the Paradise Planning office after completing over 15 client homes and after you have completed both the Cafe and Restaurant facilities, Wardell will not be there. (If this doesn't work then you may need to complete 1 more property after the restaurant and then return to the office). Lottie will talk to you then you will need to go and find him.
Wardell will be on the beach behind the office. Head down to the pier then follow the beach all the way around and through the stone arch. Keep following the beach until you come across Wardell who should be staring out at the ocean. All you need to do is walk over to Wardell and talk to him. Once the conversation is over, you can head back to the Paradise Planning office and go back to work. On the next client you have after talking to Wardell, you will be able to use soundscapes.
After you have completed the homes of 25 clients, including the facilities that you have unlocked up to that point, Wardell will be missing from the office again. All you need to do is go back to the same spot as before and sit with him. After a brief conversation, Wardell will leave and you will have unlocked the second set of soundscapes.
How To Use Soundscapes
Soundscapes can be accessed by entering decorating mode inside the client's home (press down on the directional pad). When you are in this mode, press left on the directional pad. You should see that there is another tab at the top that looks like a little monkey. Press L or R to move along to this tab. This will bring up all of the soundscapes that you can apply to that room. Click on them to listen to them and once you have settled on one, all you need to do is exit the soundscape menu and it will be applied to that room.
What Are Soundscapes?
Soundscapes are essentially the background music for a room or a home. When you place down a K.K track to play in a home you need a stereo or radio but you can have a soundscape playing without one. They are particularly useful if you want a room to have a specific theme to it such as a beach theme.
