Not only can you build your client's dream vacation homes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise, you can also alter several important characteristics of the Island that they're on! We're going to show you how to modify the weather, the time of day and the season.
How To Change the Weather
When you're decorating the outdoor area of the client's home, click the up button on your directional pad. This will bring up the time of day/weather bar and the bit you want to focus on is at the bottom of this bar. You should see that you have two tick-boxes and the one with the sun on it should already be ticked. The other box next to it will have a dark cloud and rain next to it. These are your weather options, tick whatever one you want.
How To Change the Time of Day
When you're decorating the outdoor area of the client's home, click the up button on your directional pad. This will bring up the time of day/weather bar again and this time, you will want to focus on the bar at the top with the graduating colours on it. This is where you can select the time of day you want it to be on the Island. There are 24 different options for this. Yes, there is an option for each hour of the day. All you need to do is select the one that you think suits the home the best.
How To Change the Season
When you pick the location for your client's vacation home, you can change the season by clicking X once you're hovering over your desired place. If click X, you will cycle through the seasons and get a small preview of how the area looks in that season.
The other way you can change the season is when you're decorating the outdoor area. When you're doing this, click on the left button on your directional pad and you will be presented with all 4 seasons. Simply click on the one that you want for that island and it will be instantly applied.
