In a daily series on his Twitter, he's walking players through the "check-in procedures" you'll encounter when beginning your island adventure.

All Character Customisation Options
You can see a bunch of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons customisation options in this video as you get set to collect your passport.
You'll pick your character's hairstyle, skin tone, eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks and gender.
They also ask you for your name and birthday!

So far the best way to unlock customisation options is through Nook Miles.
Kicks is also selling accessories and bags, according to @ACPocketNews on Twitter.
