Animal Crossing New Horizons is here, and players have been hoarding turnips to sell, usually hoping for a midweek price spike.

If your turnips are about to boom, letting you make a huge profit, there's a good chance you won't be able to take advantage. This is because 30 days after Nook's Cranny, the game's store is built, it gets a refit.

That's good news in the long run, allowing more item choice and if nothing else, a better-looking shop, but in the short term it closes the shop for 24 hours – that means there's a chance you'll miss the chance to offload turnips.
