Animal Crossing has just experienced its first New Year's Eve event, and it was a massive one for sure.
The New Year is going to bring an ample amount of content for players, but we are going to start the year off right!
Fishing is one of the core gameplay mechanics within New Horizons; and the annual fishing tournaments are some of the best fun we have had yet.
Now, we are just days away from the January Fishing Event, and there is so much you need to know.
Here's all we know about the tournament!
When
The January fishing tournament is going to take place on January 9th, 2021!
As well, the event is going to take place all day.
What Is It
The quarterly fishing event will see the player try and catch as many valuable fish as possible over the course of the day.
C.J. will come to your island, and you will be able to enter into the event via talking to them.
This is also where you will gain points, as you will have to bring the fish back to C.J. to earn these points.
There are various rewards you will be able to earn, along with a commemorative trophy depending on how many points you earn.
- 100 Points Total - Bronze Trophy
- 200 Points Total - Silver Trophy300 Points Total - Gold Trophy
