To make the most out of life on your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will need to craft certain tools or pieces of furniture. To accomplish this goal, you will need to collect various materials that can be found across your island.
However, whether you're a newcomer or a veteran, it can be a bit confusing to find certain materials if you don't know how. Of course, there are materials that you will need more than others. The materials you require more often will likely come from wanting to build specific objects. This is why we will show you how to get Iron Nuggets, one of the materials you will need in many DIY projects.
Getting iron nuggets in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Iron Nuggets can be found by hitting rocks with a shovel or an axe. If you hit a rock repeatedly without stopping, you may be able to get multiple resources out of it. However, if you have eaten a piece of fruit and hit a rock with one of these tools, the rock will shatter. You may get only one resource from the rock if you do this. Another rock will appear on your island in a few days to replace the one you destroyed.
These rocks are not restricted to your island, as you can use a Nook Miles ticket to visit an island and hit the rocks there. Also, you can visit an island with Kapp'n or go to a friend's Island and repeat the rock-hitting steps there.
What are Iron Nuggets used for?
Iron Nuggets are a common material/resource you must have if you want to craft various objects, tools or furniture pieces for your island. There are many DIY recipes for tools that need iron nuggets too. Collecting a lot of Iron Nuggets, even if you don't need them now, is advisable as their spawn rate can vary daily.
Collecting materials and resources is a small part of the day-to-day activities that you can do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
