How To Customise Your Clothes In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
On the brand new NookPhone, the handy tool you are going to get during New Horizons, there is an app called Custom Designs.
Once inside this app, you will be able to change some of the standard items in Animal Crossing. Some of the basic ones include changing the colour of your shirt or furniture.

NookLink - Previous Designs
In order to get designs from New Leaf or Happy Home Designer, you are going to need to download the NookLink mobile app (Nintendo Switch Online App), which is the direct companion app for New Horizons.
You can scan and import designs from the above titles and they will scan in via QR code or other means.
Once you download and save these into NookLink, they will automatically save into your game for New Horizons and you will be able to import them onto your clothes.
