Animal Crossing New Horizons players have been filling their museum with artwork since Redd arrived post-launch, but you can also receive artwork through the in-game mail system.

These pieces are sent by your island neighbours, and reliable dataminer Ninji has revealed some new facets to the system via Twitter.

How To Get Real Art In Animal Crossing New Horizons

If you've been getting art from Redd's ship, there are actually other ways to grab some art.

Jock and Lazy may send any piece, real or fake

Smug will only send fake pieces

Cranky will only send sculptures (real or fake)

That means if your island is full of "Smug" villagers, you might want to think about moving them on to avoid an influx of fake artwork.

Those aren't the only personalities, and at the time of writing, we don't know what the deal is with normal, peppy, sisterly or snooty villagers. We'll update this page if we hear more.
