Amazon has just announced Luna, a new cloud-gaming service in the vein of Google Stadia and Project xCloud.
With a gamepad that looks a heck of a lot like Nintendo’s Switch Pro controller, and some tasteful purple accents, Amazon’s new gizmo is certainly cute to look at.
It’s also got a decent list of 100 games confirmed for the platform, some of which can be seen on Amazon’s landing page for the service.
The service offers seamless integration with Twitch, multiple “channels” of game selections, is powered by Amazon’s AWS web platform. Games will stream in 1080p at 60 fps, with 4K coming for “select titles.”

Amazon Luna release date
As of today, Luna’s in early access by invitation only. It’s unclear when it might launch in full, but early 2021 seems like a fair guess.
You can request to sign up for early access, but you’ll have to take a brief survey and then wait for Amazon to respond.
Amazon Luna price and subscription model
The early-access price is $5.99 a month, though that’ll probably go up once the platform launches for everyone.
Players will eventually be able to subscribe to additional “channels,” including one from Ubisoft.
