Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition continues receiving new content after its release last October. This time, the game will introduce the new Mexico Civilization DLC, which is planned for release soon.

The Mexico Civilization DLC will be released on December 1st, 2021. Fans can pre-order it now through the Microsoft Store or Steam.

The base DLC will cost $5.62, while the North American double pack bundle - which has both the Mexico and United States civilizations - can be grabbed for $9.30. The Mexico and United States double pack bundle includes:

  • Mexico Civilization
  • United States Civilization
  • "Battle of Queenston Heights" Historical Battle
  • "Grito de Dolores" Historical Battle
  • "The Burning of USS Philadelphia" Historical Battle

Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition Mexico Civilization Confirmed Content

The Mexico Civilization introduces a new feature called Revolt. By doing this, you can spark a Revolution by having a new Revolution deck replacing the cards you've already got. You can also opt to reverse your Revolt and go back to your original deck before activating the feature.

There are also new units coming to the game, which are:

  • Bandido - Uses dynamites
  • Chinaco - Lance users
  • Cuatrero - Lasso-based unit
  • Desperado - Can use two guns at the same time
  • General - Raises flags and leads the army
  • Insurgente - Fast-paced unit
  • Padre - Priest hero
  • Salteador - Stealth unit
  • Soldado - Heavy infantry

As for new buildings, players can explore the Hacienda, which provide resources such as food and coins. The Cathedral, which represents the church, is also an option.
