Returnal Second Chance: How to Get an Extra Life
To gain the Second Chance bonus and an extra life in Returnal you will need to pick up either the Astronaut Figure or the Child's Watch Artefacts. These unlocked after getting into the house, which will unlock items once you leave each time. Just bey having these items you will be returned from the dead in the spot where you died, extremely useful for obvious reasons.

Other Ways to Get an Extra Life
There are a couple of other ways to get an extra life in Returnal. They are as follows:
- Certain Parasites will allow you to take a single killing-blow. This essentially saves you from death once.
- Reconstructors will allow you to set a respawn point in exchange for Ether. Read more about that in our Returnal Reconstructors Guide.
