Everything We Know About NieR Reincarnation Right Now

NieR Reincarnation is a mobile game by Square Enix and Applibot for both Android and iOS devices. Here's everything we know about it so far; from a UK release date, to any upcoming beta tests, story details, characters and more.

NieR Reincarnation UK Release Date

After a few delays and a quiet beta test, a NieR Reincarnation release date was set on June 28 for the following month.

That means NieR Reincarnation will launch worldwide on July 28 on Android and iOS devices.

NieR Reincarnation Beta and Early Access

Earlier this year, select players around the world got early access to NieR Reincarnation. From those who were pre-registered, some were randomly selected to take part in a beta test.

Another began on May 25 with users again selected randomly.

Though not confirmed, we're not expecting any more beta or early access periods to arrive before launch.

NieR Reincarnation Story - Is it Connected to NieR Automata/Replicant?

You follow the mysterious Girl in White and her personal ghost Mama around a place called The Cage.

By teaming up with other mysteriously named characters along the way, you'll form teams and battle iconic NieR baddies as you travel to unlock her memories.

NieR Reincarnation is set in the NieR universe, but we don't currently know if it links up directly to the other games.

NieR Reincarnation Trailer

The official English trailer of NieR Reincarnation was released on May 11.

In classic NieR fashion, multiple gameplay styles, a familiar look, and scene-setting music are all featured extensively. All the "mama" talk raises more questions than it answers. Check it out below.

NieR Reincarnation Combat and Battles

Combat in NieR Reincarnation isn't like that of previous NieR games. It use a "command-based" system similar to other turn-based RPGs.

You set your team from a variety of in-game characters and instruct them from the line up to use variety of skills against the opposing team. Click the video down below to see it in action.

NieR Reincarnation Locations

Since announcing the pre-registration period, the official NieR Reincarnation Twitter account has revealed several in-game battle locations. These include the "Village Streets", "Rock Garden", and "Zashiki".

NieR Reincarnation Pre-Registration Rewards

As is the case with most mobile games, NieR Reincarnation will be giving out in-game rewards depending on the amount of pre-regisrtaions it accumulates before launch. Here's what's on offer as of June 24.

• Current reward: 250,000 users = 1,800 gems.
• Next reward: 300,000 users = 3,000 gems.
