‘Tis the season for Christmas festivities to appear in the Call of Duty franchise. Whether you’re a fan of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer or are hooked on dropping into Warzone 2, there’s always a chance Santa delivers some festive treats for players to get their hands on.

In recent years, numerous famous faces have appeared through various collaborations and give you a chance to battle it out as your favourite characters from plenty of different movie franchises. We’ve already seen Ghostface from Scream and John Rambo capturing Domination flags and climbing aboard the victory chopper and it’s about time new faces join the ranks alongside Ghost and Soap.

Christmas movies feature some iconic characters that would make great Call of Duty Operators to use in multiplayer and battle royale action.

5. Santa Claus

The man in red is the face of numerous festive films. Although Santa Claus hasn’t appeared as an Operator before, fans of Winter Crash have seen him dropping bombs onto the opposition in previous titles.

Seeing Santa running around the map instead of Krampus makes a welcome change and gives Infinity Ward plenty of opportunities to create some incredible cosmetic items and blueprints to launch alongside the synonymous red suit.

4. Turbo Man

Arguably the most famous Christmas superhero, Turbo Man from Jingle All The Way is an excellent seasonal addition to the shooter franchise. Unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger, you’ll have a much easier time getting your hands on the action figure.

The red and gold suit would stand out from the dark green and black selection of Operators and will give Arnie his second appearance in Call of Duty following his debut as the Terminator.

3. Jack Skellington

Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas sees the king of Halloween Town take a trip to Christmas Town and despite his best efforts, the residents of Halloween Town can’t get to grips with the festivities. Thankfully, you won’t need to abduct Santa if Jack Skellington is heading to Call of Duty.

Contrasting the usual doses of red and gold, the black and white figure wouldn’t look out of place but his slim figure is bound to cause problems with hitboxes. Either way, Jack Skellington in Call of Duty has plenty of potential to be a success.

2. Kevin McCallister

Home Alone is up there with the very best Christmas movies and there’s very few characters that possess the same levels of ingenuity as Kevin McCallister played by Macaulay Culkin. If he can fend off two criminals, imagine what he can do with an entire weapon arsenal at his disposal.

With numerous buildings on Al Mazrah and multiplayer to hide in, you could create a multitude of traps to catch any approaching opposition off guard.

1. Buddy the Elf

Last and by no means least is a character that lives and breathes all that the festive season has to offer. Will Ferrell’s Elf is a holiday classic and while Buddy doesn’t don an outfit appropriate for a battle against armed opposition, he’s the ultimate Christmas character that’s perfect for an Operator bundle.

Alongside the bright outfit, eliminating opponents with a candy cane sounds like a lot of fun.

There you have it, these five Christmas characters would make excellent additions to Call of Duty’s expanding roster of Operators. Before you go, take a look at our guides showcasing the current Warzone 2 meta and all you need to know about the best Modern Warfare 2 SMG.
