Dead Space Trailer Disguises A Clever Easter Egg Referring To The First Game's Director

The 2008 Dead Space was directed by Glen Schofield, who worked at Visceral Games, the studio that developed the survival trilogy.

After Schofield asserted his excitement for EA Motive's remake, an eagle-eyed Max Zareckiy noticed an easter egg that referenced the director by name:

On the wall where it says "cut off their limbs", to the top-left, "Schofield Tools" is listed. It seems as though this company or establishment created the iconic plasma cutter, acting as a respectful tribute to the former director.

Despite a slew of successful games including the horror trilogy and even Battlefield Hardline, Visceral Games was eventually closed down. Schofield continues to retain his admiration for the genre as he is developing a horror game, in a similar vein to Dead Space called The Callisto Protocol.
