Reports list The Batman at 176 minutes, lasting 2 hours and 56 minutes.

This makes it the longest Batman solo movie ever, toppling The Dark Knight Rises which came in at 164 minutes. But, the 2022 film isn’t the most stacked film to include the DC mascot, as Zack Snyder’s Justice League ran from an epic 4 hours and 2 minutes.

Superhero movies have gotten increasingly longer over the last few years. Most notably, Avengers: Endgame culminated at just over 3 hours. Elsewhere, DCEU’s own Wonder Woman 1984 ran for 151 minutes.

Studios have realised that there's still plenty of money to be made at the box office, despite comic book films running for longer. This still applies during the pandemic, as Spider-Man: No Way Home recently became the 8th highest-grossing movie of all time.

This new iteration focuses on the detective side of the Caped Crusader, offering a neo-noir approach and scary twist on the popular character. Robert Pattinson dons the cowl this time around and is said to be portraying a Bruce Wayne that's been inspired by Nirvana's Kurt Cobain.
