Breakdown

  • Images of an alleged Kendrick Lamar and Drake Fortnite bundle surfaced online, which are fake
  • The clip went viral after being shared by a massive hip-hop focused Twitter account
  • With the beef between both artists escalating, it seems unlikely Epic Games would want to capitalise on it

As the historic feud between rappers Kendrick Lamar and Drake continues to escalate, footage of an alleged collaboration with Fortnite has surfaced online, one that would see both artists arrive at the battle royale in the aptly named beef bundle.

This, of course, is completely fabricated, with a TikTok going viral after hip-hop and rap Twitter account Daily Loud shared it on their social media.

The clip showcases what the Fortnite Item Shop could look like with a potential beef bundle featuring skins for both rappers. In fact, it's incredibly well produced, to the point that plenty of people are in shock believing that Epic Games pulled out a stroke of genius with an incredibly fast turnaround.

If you've been out of the loop when it comes to the Kendrick and Drake drama, first of all, why are you missing out on one of the biggest feuds in rap history? Second, allow me to give some quick context.

The alleged beef bundle in Fortnite

Drake and Kendrick have been in a continuous beef that recently escalated after J. Cole called Drake, Lamar, and himself the new "big three" of rap in October. Lamar dissed Cole and Drake in March, implying it was dishonest to put both Cole and Drake on his level.

From then, Cole decided to take a step back and let the other two go at each other's throats with escalating diss tracks that have taken some dark twisted turns as both men started throwing serious accusations of grooming, domestic violence, sexual assault, and more.

To be honest, I don't think Epic Games would want to get involved in the current drama between the two artists. The allegations and tensions between them have escalated to a point where it would be inappropriate to try and profit from the situation.

If you're not looking to get hit with a diss track by your friends for not preparing in time for the upcoming season, then we highly recommend you check out everything there is to know about Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3.
