If you need help to turn off screen shake in Diablo 4, we're here to help. Diablo 4 is a fantastic experience thanks to its tightly-knit story, endgame content, and intense gameplay. However, this does not mean that everything is perfect. One of the minor inconveniences the game throws at you is a screen shake.

The feature is turned on by default and it seeks to emphasise major actions that take place during combat. However, the effect can be distracting or even trigger motion sickness for some players so you might want to turn it off.

Should you turn off screen shake in Diablo 4?

Some players might want to turn off the setting because it looks jarring. While screen shake adds a nice touch to the gameplay, Diablo 4’s implementation of the feature feels a little too aggressive. There is no slider to turn it down, so you either turn it off or leave it on.

But some players may feel nauseated or disoriented when playing the game, so we strongly recommend turning the setting off if that is the case. Some games are known to trigger motion sickness in players.

Some of the symptoms to look out for are nausea, dizziness, eye strain, and a headache. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should take a break and come back to the game later. There is no reason to be alarmed if you experience motion sickness, as it affects a substantial number of gamers.

You should consider turning off screen shake (and head bob) in other games too if you experience these symptoms. Turning the screen shake off in Diablo 4 does not mar the experience, and it is simply an optional accessibility feature.
