Diablo 4 streamer tests every item that could potentially help overpower-focused Necromancer builds

Though the arrival of Diablo 4’s Season of the Malignant was arguably overshadowed by a controversial patch, plenty of players have still delved into it and set about trying to find items that can take their characters to the next level.

Some of these hardcore Hellspawn have even managed to stumble across a Malignant Heart that offers a permanent buff. Unfortunately, others have been less lucky, encountering some frustrating bugs.

With patch 1.1.1, the planned changes of which, with one notable exception, have proven pretty popular, set to arrive this week, there’s plenty of reason to fire it up and try to perfect your build. If you’re a Necromancer, a streamer has recently created something that could really help you do just that.

The creator in question, MacroBioBoi, has been busy testing out every item and stat a Necromancer can acquire to see whether they boost the overpower effect, which they describe as the game’s “most confusing and least intuitive system.”

Much like fellow streamer Drybear’s analysis of the best dungeons and strongholds for players to grind, MacroBioBoi has chosen to organise the results of their experimentation into a spreadsheet.

This handy document includes everything from aspects to unique items and Malignant Hearts, detailing whether they can work to improve the offerings of overpower based on a calculation of how much damage totals are affected when using them in tandem with the effect.

There are a few entries that have been left without a concrete yes or no answer, such as the Decompose skill, which was impossible to test, and the Aspect of the Conceited, the test for which will have to be re-done due to a bug.
