If you're unsure whether a QLED or OLED TV would suit your needs better, there are a few things worth considering.
The difference between the two is simply how the pixels are illuminated, QLED uses an LED backlight to produce the brightness and 'Quantum dots' to increase their colour vibrancy further.
Whereas OLED works by each individual pixel emitting its own light, which can, in turn, create a greater contrast as individual pixels can turn off and generate darker blacks.
In terms of which is better, generally, OLED TVs produce a sharper, higher contrast image than QLED.
However, QLED is often more affordable than OLED, and so if you're after a standout 4K TV but don't want to burn too deep a hole in your pocket, QLED is definitely worth considering.
