Apex Legends Season 11 Leak Points to Tropical Island Map

A new Apex Legends Season 11 map leak surfaced thanks to noted dataminer Shrugtal (first spotted by Video Games Chronicle) and seemingly points to a tropical island setting with plenty of potential for both PvP and PvE.

Shrugtal said data for the map existed as far back as August 2020 and said the island would be a wilderness experience, with animals and other hazards to contend with.

Tidbits hidden in Season 10's files mentioned an extensive AI system that Shrugtal said Respawn is planning to roll out on the new island map.

Another dataminer, Garret, found evidence of tropical plants and wildlife in the game's files, alongside new vehicles last month. It's a variation of the Trident that launched alongside Olympus in Season 7.

Adding a new map in Season 11 fits with Respawn's previous timetable of adding new maps every three or four seasons. The first (World's Edge) appeared in Season 3, with the second (Olympus) dropping in Season 7.
